Job Introduction
We are looking for a committed and inspiring teacher to join our team at South Wonston Primary School. You’ll be working in our Mixed Reception and Year 1 setting, which consists of two classes supported by an experienced and collaborative team. With a well-established curriculum and a vibrant learning environment, this role offers the chance to make a real difference at the very start of a child’s school journey. We are looking for an experienced practitioner and are happy to consider a job share. We will be holding interviews Wednesday 22nd October for successful candidates.
Our Early Years provision was highly praised in our most recent Ofsted inspection (June 2024), which judged the school Good overall. Inspectors recognised the strength of our early education, noting:
“The school is ambitious for all pupils across the curriculum. This begins in Reception, where staff create a vibrant and enchanting learning environment that builds children’s knowledge and vocabulary effectively. Children in the early years are confident and independent. They sing songs, take turns, and play together happily. Early years staff have expert subject knowledge and help pupils to learn strongly.”
Start date: 6th November 2025 but January 2025 will be considered for the right candidate.
