Night Residential Children Care Worker

Job Introduction

Lakeside School is an 'Outstanding' day and residential special school for 97 boys aged between 10 and 16 with a range of needs, including challenging behaviour.  The school received an 'Outstanding' rating from Ofsted in June 2024 and more recently in October 2024 for its residential provision.
Are you a positive, energetic, resilient and patient person looking to make a real difference to the education of our pupils? 
We are looking to recruit a Residential Night Waking Worker to work 2 – 4 evenings a week (Monday to Thursday).  Hours of work are 10:30pm – 8:30am.
This is a unique role which includes the following duties:
Washing/drying/folding of pupils bedding and clothing.
Tidy kitchen including washing up.
Cleaning fridge/cupboards/drawers
Hourly walk around to check no disturbances and boys are settled (11pm-6am).
Keeping a log of any incidents
Maintaining the boarding house seasonal notice boards
Attending and participating in relevant training 
Ensuring breakfast is laid out and ready for the pupils prior to them starting their school day and any other adhoc duties.
