Job/Person Summary
Crookhorn College Saturday Music School is seeking a suitably qualified singing teacher to work with individuals and pairs from January 2026. We will initially require 2 hours per week to be worked on any evening after College starting from 3.15pm with the possibility of extending lesson times or additional evenings depending on requirements.
A music qualification to degree level, ABRSM Diploma or similar is desirable. A teaching qualification is preferable, but experience of vocal teaching and an ability to engage and motivate young people is essential. The ability to teach other instruments is desirable.
The College music school has been running for ten years and continues to expand. We currently teach singing and instrumental lessons across five rooms, as well as rehearsal sessions, a mixed-age choir and studio recordings for Crookhorn Records.
Crookhorn is a vibrant College and is delighted to offer this role in a forward looking environment, with innovative community developments and collaborations. The successful candidate will join an enterprising, highly skilled and motivated team of teaching and support staff.
The College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks
Application forms are available on our website http://www.crookhorn.hants.sch.uk or on request from the college via email: recruitment@crookhorn.hants.sch.uk or tel: 023 9225 1120.
