No one day is the same as another. Broadening the curriculum for our children and giving them unique experiences is a key aspect of our school week. Our teachers incorporate visitors, trips and outdoor learning into their planning to ensure that pupils develop a sense of the world around them. We need a teacher who can do this, whilst ensuring all groups of pupils make sustained and rapid progress.

Our Year R cohort need additional support this year, to ensure that they are all make rapid progress in their social, communication and academic outcomes. Working closely with the current teacher and support staff, this role will allow smaller groups of pupils to receive the focus they deserve.

If you have a sense of humour, are flexible in your approach and want to work in a supportive team environment then we are the school for you. The personal development of pupils is essential in our school and we pride ourselves on every adult nurturing our young people to ensure they prosper. However, we also support our staff to develop their own careers and skills.

We are a school that believes in developing its staff through NPQs, internal and external courses and peer coaching. Our dedicated team is small, but the ambitions for our pupils is high, as we work together to remove their barriers for learning and engage their curiosity.

If you would like to discover more and explore this opportunity further then please arrange a school visit as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will need to:

  • Have a sense of humour and be a positive influence for our children’s learning
  • Have high expectations of learning and behaviour for learning
  • Be an inclusive practitioner able to adapt teaching to meet the needs of a range of pupils
  • Be able to build and sustain excellent relationships with colleagues, children, parents and other stakeholders

  • An opportunity to work with a dedicated, committed and supported team of staff and leaders across the school
  • An opportunity to work in a primary school that encourages creativity and always seeks to make a difference to pupils and the whole community
  • The chance to work with lovely children who are enthusiastic to learn

Visits to the school are welcome. If you have any questions, would like an application pack or would like to book an appointment please contact Mrs. Zoe King on 023 92 593939 or e-mail z.king@woodcroft.hants.sch.uk
