Learning Support Assistant
Job/person summary
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible and patient Learning Support Assistant to join our LSA team and to support children in our Year 6 classroom. Peel Common Primary school is a one form school with extensive grounds, supportive teams and children who are willing to learn.
The role will entail supporting children in their learning, helping the teacher to implement lesson plans and provide feedback to the teacher. You will need to be committed to supporting and developing children’s learning and building upon the relationships already in place within the classroom.
This post will be for 14.15 hours per week (Wednesday PM, Thursday 8:45AM-3:15PM, Friday 8:45AM-3:15PM. 30 minute lunch break is included within the two full days).
We are looking for someone who:
- Is kind and caring, can nurture and motivate children.
- Has resilience and is enthusiastic about working with children.
- Is a team player and has excellent communication skills.
- Has recent experience of working with children.
- Has Maths and English GCSE or equivalent and is computer literate.

Pay Scale: Grade C (FTE £25,186 - £26,244). Please note that salary will be on a pro-rata basis.
