Part-time Admin Assistant

Job Introduction

We are seeking a professional and adaptable Administrative Assistant to join our small and friendly office team. The successful candidate will be a warm and welcoming person with an eye for detail and excellent organisational skills who is confident in following established procedures. Our Administrative Assistant oversees the day-to-day running of the office and will play an important role, whether it is covering the reception, overseeing correspondence and organising school visits, or discharging first aid responsibilities. The successful candidate will:

  • Be the first point of contact for all visitors to the school, ensuring all visitors are signed in correctly in accordance with our safeguarding arrangements
  • Input registers using Arbor on a daily basis and using the school attendance procedures to follow up absences (afternoon sessions)
  • Have good ICT skills (experience of using Microsoft Office, and Arbor would be an advantage)
  • Have excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Have an eye for detail when organising events, sending out correspondence and in all communication with staff, families and outside professionals
  • Be able to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Administer First Aid and medicines as required (training will be provided)
  • Keep the office and reception area tidy, also sort and distribute any post and deliveries
  • Understand the need to deal with all matters in a confidential and professional manner
  • Be kind, calm and positive - and be able to cope with frequent interruptions!
  • Someone who understands the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality 
  • Any other tasks as required
