Job Introduction
Petersgate Infant School is an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school tucked away within the village of Clanfield, located in the South Downs. We are a caring, supportive school community within extensive grounds used for outdoor learning opportunities including gardening in our very own allotment on site.
With a focus on supporting ‘the whole child’, Petersgate is proud to be a myHappymind school with a passionate pastoral team incorporating our ELSAs, Family Support Leader and Wellbeing & Life Skills Lead.
We are looking for an enthusiastic experienced class teacher to join our teaching team from September 2025 for two years. The successful candidate will need to be reflective, organised and responsive in meeting the needs of individuals, challenging all children to make strong progress.
We therefore seek a teacher who:
- Is passionate about delivering a creative and purposeful curriculum to engage all children
- Is dynamic and creative in seeking solutions
- Is committed to high standards and to raising achievement
- Is rigorous in collating evidence as a basis for making thorough and accurate assessments
- Has an ability to use own initiative but is also a strong team player
- Is caring and committed; consistent in developing trust and respect
- Has good interpersonal skills and an ability to work in partnership with all staff, parents and governors
- Ideally has experience working in both EYs & KS1
- Has adaptability and good humour
