Contract/Hours: Fixed-term to 22nd July 2026. 12 hours per week – days/timings to be agreed. Term time only
Salary range: B:3 - C:3 (dependent on qualifications)
Start date: asap
Closing date: Friday 31st October (midday)
Interview date: w/c 3rd November
We are seeking to appoint a caring Pre-School Assistant (SEND 1:1 support) to work in our Little Fishes Pre-School. Previous experience is preferable. We are looking to appoint a flexible, enthusiastic person to join our friendly team of hard working staff. The successful candidate will be part of a supportive and dedicated team.
We are looking for someone who:
- is actively committed to the aims and ethos of our Catholic Christian school
- understands safeguarding and confidentiality procedures
- enjoys working with children
- is committed to supporting children to feel safe and secure to enable them to learn and flourish
- can support the Pre-School Manager and work with individual children on a 1:1 basis
- is positive and calm
- is a flexible team player with excellent communication skills
- is Paediatric First Aid trained (or is willing to complete training)
You will:
- have knowledge of SEND
- have previous experience of working with young children
- have knowledge of child development from 2 to 5 years and the EYFS
- have a Level 2 or 3 early years education and childcare qualification or equivalent (not essential)
