Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, tailored teaching using therapeutic models to support students with SEMH needs.
- Plan and deliver lessons that develop students' social, emotional and academic progress.
- Create a safe, supportive and stimulating learning environment.
- Collaborate with families, carers and professionals to achieve positive outcomes for students.
- Manage behaviour effectively and promote positive attitudes to learning.
- Monitor, assess and record student progress to inform teaching and set targets.
- Incorporate outdoor and varied learning experiences to engage students fully.
- Safeguard the welfare of students and adhere to Child Protection Protocols.
- Participate in professional development and share expertise with colleagues.
- Adapt flexibly to meet the diverse needs of students and school requirements.
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Be enthusiastic, resilient and possess a good sense of humour
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A solid understanding of differentiated learning experiences and behaviour management within a trauma-informed framework.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development in SEMH and special education.
- A collaborative approach to working with parents, carers, and other professionals.
- Have proven skills in working as part of a team
- Demonstrate a willingness to work effectively within a unique educational setting, passionately understanding the importance of the right education for every child.
