Reception Class Teacher - Maternity Cover

Job/Person Summary - Hours 2.5 days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 'pm')
The community of Locks Heath Infant & Nursery School is looking to appoint an inspirational class teacher to join our supportive and committed staff for a
maternity fixed term period commencing October 2026. This rare opportunity cannot be missed and is the perfect job for someone who is looking to make a real difference to the lives of children at our school.

The successful candidate will:
 * be an inspirational Year R teacher with the ability to engage and motivate all children in their learning

* have experience teaching in this age group and have a track record of good or outstanding teaching

* have extensive evidence of how their practice has improved over time, being a reflective practitioner and adapting their practice in line with the very latest reading and research
 * have high aspirations for all children and believe that every child has the potential to succeed 
 * be highly skilled at creating an inclusive learning environment, where all children make strong progress
 * have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work as part of a forward thinking team
 * have high ambition for themselves, the children and school developments
