We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Reception and Administration Assistant who has high expectations and continuously strives for the best outcomes. Our intake numbers are increasing – we currently have 1,140 students. We have been recently graded as ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted and we are continuing to ensure that we provide the very best education for all our students.
The Main Admin Office is an integral part of the school, providing help to students, parents and the Hamble team. Reception can be an intense and highly pressured environment providing support both in person and over the telephone but offers an exceptionally rewarding role.
We are looking for a team member to join us in a role that would equally suit someone starting out in their career or a more experienced person wanting to move into education and work in a school environment. You will need to be calm, organised, resilient, self-motivated, able to multi-task and an excellent communicator. Experience of Reception work, working in a school and with SIMS database would all be advantageous.
Required skills for this role include:
- Being committed to working as part of a team, as well as being able to work independently.
- Having a good sense of humour and a positive “can do” attitude
- Having excellent general administration and organisational skills and being educated to a good standard (GCSE English and Maths at level C or above)
- Having the ability to prioritise and work independently
- Relating well to students, staff, parents, governors and members of the wider school community
- Being able to maintain high levels of confidentiality and being committed to the safeguarding of our students
- Having proficient IT Skills with knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ideally having proven experience of working in a school administration environment
- Ideally having knowledge of SIMS and Tucasi systems (training can be provided).
