We are looking for a friendly, organised and efficient Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our welcoming school office team, which includes an Office Manager, Admin Officer and Finance Officer.

This is a key front-facing role within the school. As the first point of contact for parents, visitors, pupils and staff, you will play a vital role in creating a positive, professional and welcoming environment, while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school office.


The role will involve a balance of reception and administrative duties, including:

  • Managing the school reception area, greeting visitors and ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed
  • Handling telephone calls and email enquiries in a professional and courteous manner
  • Responding to queries from parents, pupils and staff
  • Supporting pupil-related processes, including attendance and general welfare enquiries
  • Carrying out a range of administrative tasks to support the wider school office
  • Providing general support to the Office Manager and administrative team

 

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is warm, approachable and professional, with excellent communication skills
  • Is highly organised and efficient, with strong attention to detail
  • Can remain calm under pressure and manage a busy reception environment
  • Has good IT skills and is confident using office systems
  • Works well as part of a team and is willing to support colleagues where needed
  • Understands the importance of safeguarding, confidentiality and professionalism in a school setting
  • Previous experience in a school office environment would be desirable, but not essential
