Working within our Wellbeing Hub and in class to support children with SEMH needs alongside our pastoral team and with class teachers, you will have the opportunity to make your mark in this rewarding role and make a real difference to the children you support.
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced and enthusiastic LSA with strong skills in proactively helping children to become more independent in managing their own behaviour and being successful in school.
The role will be varied and may include delivering specific interventions such as sensory circuits and social communication skills, supporting individual children and small groups in the Wellbeing Hub and in class, supporting other members of staff in addressing the needs of the children and providing therapeutic interventions for individual and groups of children using the Thrive Approach and Zones of Regulation. You will need to be flexible, motivated and be prepared to use your initiative. The person for this job must ‘want to make a difference’ and have high expectations for themselves and the children they care for.
Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Be highly motivated and enthusiastic; able to inspire and engage pupils
- Have a love of learning for their own development and our children
- Be able to provide excellent pastoral and nurturing support
- Have experience of running and organising small groups and interventions/support 1:1 as required
- Have excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of an established team
- Be kind and nurturing to children
- Have experience of working successfully with children who have complex needs either within a mainstream setting, special school, or alternative provision
- Have an understanding of trauma and attachment disorders

The working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am-11.45am and 12.15pm-3.30pm, term time only.
