Part-time SEN Administration Assistant Required
St. Bede’s is a thriving, successful, popular and friendly Catholic School in Basingstoke with delightful children, a dynamic staff and supportive parents and governors.
We are currently looking for a friendly, capable SEN Administration Assistant to support our extremely busy Inclusion Manager, on a part time basis.
The hours are nine per week over three days, ideally Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
The salary is Grade C, Step 1-5 : £24,405 - £25,430 pro rata, Actual Annual Salary £5,207-£5,426
The successful candidate will :
- Have a warm, positive and professional manner with a good sense of humour
- Be confident to use own initiative and ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
- Be able to communicate effectively in person, in writing and by telephone
- Keep calm under pressure and able to cope with frequent interruptions
- Be highly organised and pro-active with excellent attention to detail
- Be able to communicate and have a positive rapport with children of all ages and abilities
- Have an excellent understanding of neuro-diversity
- Be experienced in an administrative role
- Be a team member who is happy to be flexible if necessary
- Have good IT skills, in particular a working knowledge of Word & Excel
- Be qualified in Maths and English at GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent)
- Be supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school
- Have a clear understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
Experience of working in a school office environment is desirable, but not essential.
