Job Introduction
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our established team at Oakridge Schools Federation. In this rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with children with special educational needs and disabilities, providing tailored support to help them reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering targeted interventions and support to small groups of pupils with SEND
- Assisting with playtime and lunch duties, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment
- Providing intimate care support as needed
- Collaborating with teachers and the SENCO to implement effective strategies
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience working with children with SEND in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development
- Relevant qualifications in teaching, learning support, or a related field
Desirable Qualities:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Creativity and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
