Job Summary
- Woodcroft Primary School is seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with communication needs.
- This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly and supportive team and make a meaningful difference to a child’s educational journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective 1:1 support to enable the child to access the curriculum and achieve personalised learning outcomes.
- Deliver activities that support the child’s academic, social and emotional development.
- Support personal care needs where required.
- Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to implement provision and recommendations outlined in EHCPs and other reports from professionals.
- Follow school procedures on record keeping for both academic interventions and safeguarding purposes.
The Successful Candidate Will
- Hold GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics.
- Be calm, patient and committed to supporting individual children’s needs.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Proactive and able to think on their feet in a busy classroom environment.
