Job/Person Summary
Castle Hill Infant School wishes to appoint a part time SEN Support Assistant. The position is for the equivalent of 27.75 hours per week on a fixed term contract to 31 July 2026 in the first instance. This Learning Support Assistant will be providing support to our children with high SEND needs, as part of a team.
Salary scale B depending on experience
The successful candidate will:
- Be enthusiastic, creative, and embrace new ideas
- Have excellent oral and written standard of English
- Energetic, adaptable and full of initiative
- Be able to support with social skills, self-care skills, emotional support and show empathy and understanding
- Be able to form effective working relationships and be a team player
- Experience at leading children in a school setting in a group or individual (Desirable, not essential)
- Be flexible, patient and a good listener
- Willing to undertake training
- Encourage high standards and be a good role model
- Be empathetic to the importance of play in a child's learning and development
- Liaise with parents and outside agencies
