Job Introduction
SENDCO required for 1 day a week from September 2026.
We are a successful, rural school with 102 children on role from Year R to Year 6. The Governors are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspirational and motivated SENDCO to lead inclusion and SEN within the school and join our highly committed team.
The successful candidate should have:
- Qualified Teacher with 5 years or more teaching experience
- Experience of working with children with Special Needs
- Thorough knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
- Either hold or working towards the National Award for SEN coordination (NASENCo)
- The ability to lead staff in developing their knowledge and expertise
- Be committed to inclusive education and improving outcomes for all learners.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
- Continue to lead and champion inclusive practice across the school, shaping a strong vision for SEND provision.
- The ability to support and overview the work of learning assistants
- Be able to administer screening tools, identify appropriate interventions and evaluate their impact.
- Work collaboratively with parents and carers, offering professional and pastoral support.
