Job Introduction
SENDCo and Inclusion Leader (0.4 – 1.0 FTE)
Park Primary School is looking for an Inclusion Leader to join our school leadership and pastoral teams from September 2026 or January 2027.
The post will be suitable for a qualified, experienced SENDCo, or an experienced teacher with a passion for inclusion who is willing to complete the National SENCo qualification.
We welcome applicants looking for a part time or full time position, as the role could include some teaching.
The role will also include safeguarding and pastoral work. The successful applicant will be trained as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) and work as part of our established pastoral team.
The successful candidate will:
- Be organised and able to prioritise tasks
- Have an eye for detail
- Be an excellent teacher who understands what good quality inclusive teaching and learning looks like.
- Have experience of working with families and other agencies to promote positive outcomes for children
- Have high expectations and aspirations for all pupils
- Be kind, caring and nurturing
- Inspire, engage and motivate others
- Be committed to promoting an inclusive environment for all pupils
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have a track record of whole school improvement
- Have a strong commitment to raising attainment and improving outcomes for pupils with SEND
- Have a good understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and how this can be translated into high quality, inclusive provision.
