Job/Person Summary

An opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic, caring and committed School Business Manager to be part of the Senior Leadership Team at our fantastic Primary school. The role will involve leading on all of the non-teaching aspects of the school including Finance, HR, Admin IT systems, Health & Safety, medical support for pupils and premises.

The successful applicant will: 

  • Hold a degree level qualification or equivalent (eg NCSL Certificate or NVQ Level 4)
  • Have GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths Grade C/4 or above
  • Have a proven track record of excellence in school business leadership and/or management of areas including finance and HR
  • Be able to lead and motivate key support staff
  • Be the key contact for all queries relating to finance, admin, HR, Health & Safety, medical support and premises
  • Attend Governor Resources and Personnel Committee meetings 
  • Provide support as relevant to the Headteacher and SLT
  • Be patient, cheerful and understanding 
  • Understand and appreciate the need for confidentiality
  • Be calm and collected under pressure whilst maintaining an excellent sense of humour
