Job Introduction
Due to the relocation of the current post holder, we are looking for an experienced School Business Manager who is looking to further their career within a large primary school. The ideal candidate will be experienced at a senior level and have a proven record of accomplishment in finance, health and safety and administrative management. Ideally, you will have had school-based experience and so will be proficient in using school-based ICT and data systems.
The successful applicant will
• Have significant experience of business administration, accounting and budgetary control
• Have experience of managing budgets and of financial accounting with evidence of meticulous record keeping and attention to detail.
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Have an understanding of schools safeguarding, health & safety, staffing and personnel administration
• Be confident and proactive in establishing and maintaining administrative systems of a busy school office
• Have the ability to lead a team and work effectively as part of a team whilst managing competing deadlines
• Be a calm, positive and effective communicator, confident in liaising with all colleagues, children, parents and outside agencies (even under pressure). Understand the need for confidentiality.
• Be keen to ensure that we achieve the best value for money in achieving our educational goals
• Be able to maximise the school’s resources and manage them efficiently
• Have the ability to delegate and show initiative
• Committed to school improvement as part of the Leadership Team
• Have lots of energy, excellent multi-tasking skills and a good sense of humour!
We are a recently refurbished primary school in an excellent location, with 441 pupils on role. As a pivotal member of the school community, you would be part of a friendly, experienced and supportive team. We can offer a full period of handover, before or during the February half term, together with a programme of support and training from Hampshire County Council
