Cove Infant School are looking to appoint a motivated caretaker to manage and improve our school site.

This role would suit anyone who has some practical skills as well as some basic IT skills, prides themselves on their work and enjoys working within a rewarding environment.   If you are enthusiastic, hardworking, friendly and flexible, we’d love to hear from you.

The role is for 20 hrs per week, which will need to be split between early morning and afternoon to incorporate opening and closing the school site daily.  Ideally, we would like for these hours to be worked 6.45am to 7.30am and 2.45pm to 6pm, however there may be some flexibility around these timings should you wish to discuss this at interview.

Part of the role includes responsibilities for unlocking, locking and securing the school site, carrying out routine health & safety procedures, liaising with contractors and managing the cleaning standards / cleaners.

Once shortlisted, those invited to interview will be informed by telephone.  If you do not receive a telephone call then you have not been shortlisted on this occasion – please do not let this put you off applying again in the future. 

We reserve the right to interview candidates at a mutually convenient time, as applications arrive, if required.
