Job Introduction

Job/Person Summary

We have a vacancy for a cleaner to join our friendly team for 3 hours a day, starting on 18th November or sooner if possible. The hours for this position are 3.30pm to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday. This position will initially be temporary for 3 months, with the option to make it permanent depending on performance.

The successful candidate will ideally have paid cleaning experience, but this is not essential. They must be able to work to a high standard in order to maintain a hygienic, safe, and pleasant environment in which children can learn.

Duties will include:

  • Emptying bins
  • Cleaning allocated areas
  • Washing tables and chairs
  • Cleaning sinks and toilets
  • Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping
  • Ensuring we have a clean and welcoming school environment

The successful candidate will:

  • Take pride in a job well done and be committed to achieving high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Be punctual and reliable
  • Be willing to undertake any training relevant to the role
  • Be trustworthy, maintaining confidentiality at all times in respect of school-related matters
  • Manage their time effectively and be flexible around the demands of the position
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating the initiative to work without supervision

This is a term-time only contract. The pay is Grade A (approximately £12.17 per hour).
