(Actual pro rata salary - 39 weeks at 30 hours: £19,266; 37 hours: £23,762)
30 to 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
39 weeks per year - Term Time Only
Starting 1 September 2026
Park Community School is seeking a Matron to manage our school’s first aid room on our secondary campus. You will be the first point of contact for students who are injured or feeling unwell, providing first aid, managing medical records, and offering support and reassurance.
You don’t necessarily need to be a qualified nurse, but a background in first aid, youth care, or a medical environment is desirable. We are looking for someone with:
- A current First Aid at Work qualification (or a willingness to undertake this training as soon as possible)
- Experience working with children or young people (ideally within an educational, youth work, or healthcare setting)
- An empathetic, patient, and resilient nature
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and handle medical emergencies
- Excellent communication skills and a high level of discretion/confidentiality
- Strong IT/administrative skills for record-keeping purposes.
