About Brockwood Park School
Brockwood Park School is a small, independent international boarding school located in the heart of the Hampshire countryside, with around 60 to 70 students aged 14 to 18 from all over the world. Brockwood Park is run by the registered charity, the Krishnamurti Foundation Trust, together with Inwoods Small School, a Study Centre, and the Foundation.
Role Details
We are looking for a skilled science technician, with a passion for science, who can manage our science labs. Our classes are collaborative, with small group sizes of 5 to 15 students, and free from the pressures of examinations, comparison, and competition. Students are encouraged to take genuine responsibility and agency in their learning, helping to create a supportive and engaging educational environment.
- Hours: 3-4 hours per week, flexible schedule (either in one day or spread over multiple days, as suits the candidate)
- Rate: £26/hour
- Location: Our science labs are uniquely situated in a stunning Victorian water tower, offering splendid views over our vegetable garden and the South Downs National Park.
What we are looking for
- Proven experience as a science technician, with a strong background in chemistry.
- A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to supporting our science educators.
- The successful candidate will be happy to manage our 3 small science labs and the chemical stores they contain, preparing equipment for classes and supporting with packing down classes and the safe disposal of reagents.
