SCIENCE TECHNICIAN


 37 hours per week – term time

     Salary: £21,870 - £23,127 actual per annum (FTE £24,735 - £26,157)

 

 

We are seeking to appoint a Science Technician to join the Science Faculty from 1 September 2026. The successful candidate will support the department by providing classroom and curriculum assistance. The Science Faculty includes nine laboratories, along with dedicated preparation, storage, and resource areas.

 

Brighton Hill Community School is a rapidly growing coeducational 11–16 school with approximately 1,300 students and has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. EDUCATION & TRAINING

4 GCSE’s grade A-C / 9-4, or equivalent, (to include Science, English and Math’s), or the ability to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge and skills through practical experience

Good organizational skills

Basic ICT and clerical skills

Practical experience of working within a scientific laboratory, ideally within a school / college environment

Understanding of COSHH and risk assessments
