Crofton Hammond Junior School is a vibrant and welcoming school community that nurtures every child’s potential to achieve greatness. We are excited to offer a one-year secondment opportunity for a passionate and dedicated teacher who is eager to gain leadership experience and become part of our Senior Leadership Team from January 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their professional journey-leading Maths across the school while teaching in Year 6 and contributing to the strategic direction of our school.

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed teacher who is excited to gain leadership experience and make a meaningful contribution as part of our Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will teach in Year 6, creating a stimulating and supportive classroom environment that challenges and inspires pupils to achieve their best. As Maths Lead, they will take a key role in driving standards across the school by supporting colleagues, sharing best practice, and leading the development of high-quality teaching and learning in mathematics. This is an excellent opportunity for a reflective and ambitious practitioner who enjoys collaboration, is passionate about improving outcomes for children, and is keen to develop their leadership skills within a supportive and forward-thinking team.

Desirable Attributes

Experience of teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6, is preferred, along with strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Maths. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is a positive and proactive attitude towards professional development and leadership. A commitment to promoting our core values of Ready, Respectful, and Resilient underpins everything we do at Crofton Hammond Junior School.
