Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week, Term Time Only
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 4.00pm (30-minute lunch break)
 

Join Our Friendly Office Team

We are looking to appoint a friendly, organised and enthusiastic Senior Admin Assistant to join our busy school office. This is a key front-facing role within the school. As the first point of contact for parents, visitors, pupils and staff, you will play a vital role in creating a positive, professional and welcoming environment while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school office.

No two days are the same, making this a varied and rewarding role within a supportive team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Providing a warm, welcoming and professional reception service.
  • Answering telephone and email enquiries.
  • Providing first aid and administering medicines (training will be provided if required).
  • Managing pupil attendance using Arbor.
  • Completing the school census returns.
  • Leading the school's admissions process.
  • Banking and processing payments.
  • Preparing and sending correspondence to parents.
  • Maintaining the school website and school diary.
  • Photocopying and general administrative support.
  • Undertaking general office duties as directed by the Admin Manager or Headteacher.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with parents, pupils, outside agencies and colleagues.
  • Confidence when using IT and good Literacy skills when composing emails and letters. 
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
  • A high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • A high regard for pupil safety and safeguarding. 
  • A positive, flexible and motivated approach to work.
  • Previous administrative experience- preferably in a school setting. 

Experience of Arbor, Tucasi and Microsoft Office would be an advantage; however, full training will be provided for the right candidate.
