Senior Administrator

Job Introduction

Hours: 40 hours a week (term time only)  

Times: 07:00 till 15:45 Monday to Friday

SFET Grade: 17 to 20

Salary: £26,563 to £28,796 (FTE £ 27,789 to £ 30,126) 


We are looking for a highly organised and confident individual to join our friendly team as Senior Administrator and Receptionist. This role is central to the smooth running of our school’s front office, with a key focus on coordinating daily staff cover.

You will be the first point of contact for parents, pupils, and visitors, while also taking responsibility for managing the school’s cover arrangements, ensuring that all classes are appropriately staffed and disruptions to learning are minimised.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading the coordination of school cover, including managing staff absences and liaising with supply agencies.
  • Maintaining accurate records related to teacher cover.
  • Handling reception duties such as telephone, postal, and visitor enquiries.
  • Supporting hospitality and general administrative functions.

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Confidence in managing cover logistics and responding quickly to changing staffing needs.
  • Basic computer and keyboard proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Previous administration experience (school-based experience is desirable but not essential).
  • A calm and professional approach to problem-solving and multitasking.
