Contract Type: Full-time, permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks a year (split shift hours, negotiable for the right candidate)

Norwood Primary and Pre-School in Eastleigh is seeking a highly motivated, proactive, and skilled Site Manager to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving the learning environment for our pupils and staff.

The Role:
As the Site Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the school premises are safe, clean, and well-maintained to support high-quality teaching and learning. Your duties will include:
- Overseeing the security of the site, including opening and closing the school daily.
- Conducting routine maintenance and repairs or arranging for contractors where necessary.
- Managing health and safety protocols to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
- Monitoring site cleanliness and supervising cleaning staff or contractors.
- Supporting the school’s sustainability efforts, including energy efficiency initiatives.
- Liaising with school staff, external suppliers, and contractors to coordinate site-related projects.
- Responding to emergencies or issues that arise outside of regular working hours.
- Liaise and manage a programme of planned and preventative maintenance undertaking minor repairs, maintenance, and redecoration.
- Maintain the grounds so that they are in a clean and tidy condition
- Identify and maintain a record of repairs and report appropriate information to the Headteacher.
- Take responsibility for stock control and ordering of cleaning products and maintenance items.
- Undertake a range of health and safety training and other relevant training.
- Understand and adhere to the school’s policies and procedures in relation to child protection and safeguarding
About You:
The successful candidate will:
- Possess practical maintenance skills and the ability to perform minor repairs.
- Demonstrate knowledge of health and safety regulations and site management best practices.
- Be organised, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with staff, contractors, and the wider community.
- Be flexible and willing to adapt to the dynamic needs of a busy school environment.
