Contract/Hours:          Permanent, Full-time

Salary Type:                 Support Staff

Salary Details:             Grade D: £25,628 – £28,326

Hours of Work:            37 hours per week, worked as per requirement. Flexible 8-3.30 (1 hour unpaid lunch break) (Friday 8.00-3.00). Further details to be discussed at interview.

Job/Person Summary

On the retirement of our Site Manager we are are seeking to appoint a dedicated, hard-working, practical and flexible replacement to join our team 

The Oaks CE Learning Federation consists of a three small schools, located in Lyndhurst, Copythorne and Netley Marsh. We are looking for a site manager to work across the three schools. 

 

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:-

 

  • A flexible, practical and efficient approach
  • An ability to work independently, using their own initiative, including prioritising workloads and responding to the needs of the children and the whole school team
  • Have good basic DIY skills
  • Have a car and a valid driving license (able to travel between sites when needed)
  • Competent in IT, being able to report statutory checks online and report concerns
  • A commitment to safeguarding in schools
  • A basic level of Literacy Skills, in order to write report and complete risk assessments 
  • Pride in their job. 
  • Polite, respectful and a good role model for pupils

 

Main responsibilities will include:

 

  • Ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of the school
  • Liaise and manage a programme of planned and preventative maintenance undertaking minor repairs, maintenance and redecoration
  • Obtain quotes for repair work and planned works within the Federation
  • Being responsible for site security, when contractors are working on site
  • Overseeing the work of external contractors, ensuring the highest levels of health and safety are maintained at all times
  • Carrying out some grounds maintenance work, ensuring the school is tidy and in good repair.
  • Line manage our cleaning staff to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the school
  • Ensure health and safety is a priority at all times, carrying out assessments (including risk assessments) checks and reports as required, reporting to Governing Body as necessary
  • Engage in training to ensure that a good understand of COSH, Fire safety, working at heights etc is implemented.
