Skylark Federation Site Manager

Job Introduction

Skylark Federation is looking to appoint a fantastic Site Manager who will help take care of our two wonderful schools: Appleshaw St Peter's CE Primary and Kimpton, Thruxton & Fyfield CE Primary.  You will be a key part of the staff team, responsible for the security of both school sites, and core aspects of Health & Safety and maintenance.

The role of Site Manager is key to the smooth running of our schools and we are looking for someone with a strong sense of pride in their work and who believes in doing a job to the best of their ability.   You will need to have good practical skills, a strong awareness of safe working practices and be supportive of our Christian values.

We need someone who will:

  • support the safe and efficient running of both schools
  • manage the sites, grounds and buildings to the highest standard possible
  • take responsibility for managing key aspects of Health & Safety, including fire safety, COSHH, legionella and asbestos awareness
  • maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the school and grounds, liaising with the contract cleaners
  • be a team player
  • work in a flexible manner to meet the needs of both schools
  • maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • show initiative, be proactive, and have good organisational and time management skills

Hours of work: ideally we are looking for 20 hours/week (7-11am Mon-Fri) with 2 days at Appleshaw and 3 days at Kimpton.  However, we can be flexible with regard to the hours, in order to recruit the right candidate.
