Job Introduction

ABOUT OUR SCHOOL

Our Schools are part of The Learning Federation Partnership of Schools. With 3 schools rated

Outstanding by Ofsted, and located in Southampton, we benefit from a

spacious site that offers excellent facilities and enriching experiences for our children. These include a

large sports field, well-equipped playgrounds, and a dedicated ECO area for weekly outdoor learning,

alongside regular music and sports provision and a wide range of external trips and experiences.

Our children enjoy a carefully designed, engaging, and knowledge-rich curriculum. Learning is

brought to life through key concepts that help them make meaningful connections and better

understand the world around them. As a result, our pupils are highly engaged, well behaved, and

approach their learning with a positive growth mindset.

Our team is collaborative, proactive, and reflective, with a shared commitment to the learning,

development, and wellbeing of every child.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Passionate. Inspiring. Kind. Resilient. Dynamic.

Are you passionate about helping children develop a love of languages? Do you have the enthusiasm, confidence and warmth to inspire young learners? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

We are seeking an exceptional individual to deliver our exciting Spanish programme across two thriving primary schools within our partnership. Whether you are a qualified teacher, HLTA or experienced Teaching Assistant, if you have a love of languages, a passion for education and the ability to engage children, we would welcome your application.

Working from a high-quality, fully planned programme, you will deliver lively, interactive Spanish lessons to individual year groups, helping children develop confidence, curiosity and a genuine enjoyment of learning another language.

The role

  • Deliver engaging Spanish lessons using an established, high-quality scheme of work.
  • Inspire children from Reception to Year 6 through fun, interactive teaching.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure lessons are purposeful and enjoyable.
  • Foster children's confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing Spanish.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of both schools.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about education and languages.
  • An excellent communicator with strong spoken Spanish.
  • Warm, kind and able to build positive relationships with children.
  • Organised, reliable and highly professional.
  • Enthusiastic, creative and engaging.
  • Resilient, adaptable and solution-focused.
  • Committed to ensuring every child succeeds.
  • Able to work independently while also being an effective member of a wider team.

We can offer:

  • Two welcoming, ambitious and high-performing schools with wonderful children.
  • A fully planned, high-quality Spanish curriculum, enabling you to focus on delivering exceptional learning.
  • Excellent professional development and career progression opportunities within a successful school partnership.
  • Friendly, dedicated colleagues who genuinely value teamwork, collaboration and innovation.
  • A progressive wellbeing policy that recognises the importance of work-life balance and supports staff to thrive professionally and personally.
  • The opportunity to make a lasting difference to children's language learning and cultural understanding.

If you believe that learning a language should be exciting, memorable and full of joy, and you share our belief that every child deserves an exceptional education, we would love to hear from you.

SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This role involves working with children and young people and requires applicants to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post. All applications are considered confidentially and according to the nature of the role and information disclosed.
