Special Needs Assistant - Balksbury Infant School

Job Introduction

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and hardworking Special Needs Assistant to join our supportive team.  

You will be somebody who will support a child 1-1 and work in collaboration with our SENDCo and SEND Team across the Federation. 

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Able to enthuse and inspire children
  • Able to support, challenge and encourage children to achieve their best
  • Able to think creatively and adapt learning for a range of SEND
  • Willing to support children’s physical and/or medical needs
  • Willing to be flexible to an unstructured timetable
  • Patient and calm
  • Able to work as a team and work individually
  • Able to take the initiative in designing activities 
  • Eager to take a full and active part in all aspects of our federated community
  • Naturally positive with a great sense of humour!
