  • Interview Date(s): Week commencing 3rd February 2025  
  • Job Start Date: February/March 2025
  • Contract/Hours: Monday- Friday, term time only –8.30-3.20 (32.5 hours per week). Suitable for job share. Initially fixed term until August 2025- with possibility of extension.
  • Salary: Grade B. £12.45 per hour (FTE £24,405).

 Job/Person Summary

We are looking for a Special Needs Assistant to work with specific children with SEND. 

Special Needs Assistants at St Francis also undertake a mixture of roles, from supporting individuals or small groups to working with the class teacher to support pupils within class.  Responsibilities will also require you to prepare activities and resources in consultation with the class teacher and SENCo, implement advice from external agencies as well as monitor and record progress.

Candidates will be required to have a minimum of English and Maths to GCSE grade C or equivalent. Ideally, experience of working with children would be an advantage. 

This role could be a job share between up to two people. Please make clear in your application if you would like to apply on this basis.
