Job/Person Summary

We are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, flexible and dedicated Special Needs Assistant to join our hardworking and friendly team in EYFS. This person will be working in with a child with an Education Health Care Plan, but will also include helping children in the class. 

You will need to be well motivated and enjoy working with primary age children, working alongside the class teacher.  Experience of managing challenging children with behaviour difficulties would be an advantage.  If you enjoy using your initiative, have good literacy and numeracy skills and preferably have experience of supporting children's development and learning, then please apply.

This post also includes working every day at lunchtimes as a supervisory assistant supporting the children to have a safe, happy lunchtime experience.

The ideal candidate is someone who:

* Puts the needs of the children first

*Shows love, respect and courage

* Is committed to ensure that every child reaches their highest possible level of achievement

*Has the patience and imagination to help and inspire children with their learning

*Is able to work under the direction of the class teacher and senior supervisory assistant

*Has a relevant NVQ3 qualification or equivalent
