Bring Your Organisational Skills and Initiative to a Role That Matters
Henry Tyndale School is a growing and inclusive special school for pupils aged 2–19 with complex learning needs. As our school expands across multiple sites, we are looking for a flexible, reliable and solution-focused Administrator to join our professional and supportive admin team.
This is a Grade C position, ideal for someone who can manage a range of general administrative duties and is ready to develop a specialist area of responsibility over time (such as attendance, medical records, communication, or annual review coordination).
Your Core Responsibilities Will Include:
- Acting as a first point of contact for staff, parents and visitors – providing a welcoming and professional front-facing presence.
- Supporting day-to-day administration, including data input, filing, printing, minute-taking, and diary support.
- Maintaining accurate records, logs and databases to support efficient school operations.
- Managing and responding to internal and external communications in a clear, timely and solution-focused way.
- Handling pupil information with sensitivity and in line with data protection standards.
- Providing admin support to teams across the school – from pastoral to site, SEND to teaching staff – depending on the day’s needs.
In Addition, You Will Be Supported to Develop a Specialism In:
- A focused area of school operations, such as:
- Annual Review and EHCP administration
- Medical and care records coordination
- Attendance tracking and follow-up
- School communications and website updates
- This area of responsibility will grow over time and be tailored to your strengths and interests, with full support and training provided.
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Has strong admin skills, with good attention to detail and excellent organisation.
- Can work efficiently in a fast-paced, reactive environment with multiple priorities.
- Is solution-focused, able to stay calm and think clearly when unexpected tasks arise.
- Works proactively and takes ownership of their tasks, using initiative appropriately.
- Communicates professionally and warmly with children, families, and colleagues.
- Has experience working in administration (school experience is helpful, but not essential).
- Has proficient skills in Microsoft 365 and is open to learning new systems – we use Microsoft 365, Arbor, CPOMS, Earwig, and Medical Tracker.
Why Henry Tyndale?
- Be part of a growing school community that values every role equally.
- Access ongoing training and CPD, with opportunities to gain new qualifications and take on greater responsibility.
- Work in a collaborative, people-focused environment where initiative and ideas are welcomed.
- Make a meaningful difference behind the scenes – helping to shape how we support pupils, families and staff every day.
