Job Introduction
Great Oaks School is a secondary special school for pupils with learning difficulties in Southampton. Due to expansion we require School Support Assistants to work across the school with individuals and small groups covering absences on a daily, weekly and termly basis. The work will include supporting the learning of the young people under the direction of a teacher and helping to meet the personal care needs of the pupils in the school.
We may also look at appointing successful candidates to Higher Level Teaching Assistant positions covering whole classes, if they have the experience and qualifications.
Great Oaks is part of the Specialist Schools Trust comprising Great Oaks and Rosewood Special schools.
