The Federation of Heathfield and St Francis Schools provides high‑quality education for pupils with a wide range of complex needs, including moderate, severe and profound learning difficulties. We are committed to inclusive, personalised learning with a strong emphasis on communication, emotional wellbeing and independence.
We are seeking highly skilled, dedicated and enthusiastic SEN teachers within our Primary and Secondary departments. This is an exciting opportunity for motivated practitioners who believe in empowering pupils with complex needs to achieve their very best.
We are looking for practitioners who:
- have strong knowledge and experience of working with pupils with SEND
- can demonstrate excellent teaching and classroom practice
- can plan, implement and evaluate high‑quality learning
- can tailor individual programmes for pupils with complex needs
- can motivate, lead and develop staff and foster collaborative practice
- can communicate effectively with parents, carers and multi‑agency partners
- have strong organisational skills and initiative
Preferable experience (training can be provided for the right candidate):
- experience of teaching pupils with SLD and complex ASD
- use of TEACCH approaches
- knowledge and practical use of AAC, including a range of communication strategies
