We are looking to appoint a compassionate and empathetic TALA Practitioner to be part of a growing initiative that focuses on enhancing emotional well-being. This role is central to our mission of fostering resilience, self-awareness, and positive development among students aged 11–16.
The Role
As a TALA Practitioner, you will:
- Provide one-on-one emotionally supportive sessions, following the Targeted Active Listening and Assistance (TALA) approach.
- Create a safe, trusting environment where students feel valued and respected.
- Use play-based and creative activities to help students explore their thoughts and emotions.
- Support students in understanding and managing their emotions, fostering resilience and positive behaviour.
- Empower students to recognize their strengths and navigate challenges. Support Team to ensure a holistic approach to student well-being.

Essential skills and qualifications include:
- Previous experience in a similar role ideally within an educational setting.
- Enthusiasm, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- Creativity and adaptability to meet the unique needs of each student.
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) at Grade C or above.

Salary: Grade C £20,279 - £21,178 per annum (FTE: £23,115 -£24,140 per annum)
Contract: Full-time (37 hours per week – 8.00 am to 4.00 pm daily) or part-time will be considered for the right candidate
