Role and Responsibilities
As a valued member of The Hayling College team, you will:
- Uphold the college’s policies, ethos, and vision.
- Act as a professional role model for students and colleagues.
- Deliver inspiring lessons that challenge, motivate, and foster excellent progress.
- Plan, assess, and report accurately on pupil progress.
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to wider school life, including discipline, extra-curricular sport, and community engagement.
- Stay up to date with educational developments and continually seek ways to enhance your practice.
Person Specification
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a relevant degree.
- Recent and relevant CPD.
Experience:
- Successful experience teaching PE at KS3 and KS4.
- Evidence of student progress and achievement.
- Involvement in extra-curricular activities and wider school initiatives.
Skills and Qualities:
- Inspirational, innovative teaching style.
- Excellent communication and ICT skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Creative problem solver with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
