Oasis Academy Sholing is expanding the PE Team and looking to recruit a well-qualified, enthusiastic and highly motivated Teacher of Dance with Girls’ PE to support the Principal, staff and our students as we ‘Strive for Excellence’. This role is available full-time or part-time and we would be happy to discuss candidate preferences at the interview stage. We are keen to develop our Dance offer so that it includes an opportunity for students to study a Dance qualification at KS4, therefore we are looking for someone who could introduce and lead GCSE or BTEC Dance, starting in Year 10 in September. This role also requires teaching PE to predominantly girls’ classes, including supervising changing rooms, as well as contributing to our extra-curricular programme.

The role and what we are looking for
We are seeking a passionate Teacher of Dance with Girls’ PE to join our highly qualified and experienced PE Team at Oasis Academy Sholing. The successful candidate will support the development of our KS3 Dance curriculum in PE lessons as well as teach a new Dance qualification at KS4. In addition to this, you will be required to teach PE at KS3 and KS4 to the highest standard and make a positive difference to academy life. A willingness to support the academy ethos and deliver extra-curricular activities within the academy is essential. You must be able to use a range of teaching strategies to inspire and motivate our students and demonstrate a commitment to sharing best practice with colleagues in the department. A passion for Dance and PE and a commitment to integrating it across the curriculum is paramount.
