 We are excited to invite applications for a Teacher of Drama & Film to join our vibrant Performing Arts department on a maternity cover basis. We are a dynamic and inclusive school dedicated to academic excellence and the holistic development of our students. Our Performing Arts department plays a vital role in fostering creativity, confidence, and teamwork within our diverse student community.

 

The Role

As our Drama and film Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative Drama lessons to students at KS3 and KS4.
  • Deliver engaging and innovative film lessons to students at KS4.
  • Inspire creativity, self-expression, and confidence in students of all abilities.
  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and standards.
  • Support and direct extracurricular activities, including school productions and drama clubs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the wider Performing Arts program and school community.

 

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS and has a relevant degree or qualification in Drama or Performing Arts.
  • Has experience teaching Drama at KS3 and KS4
  • Has experience teaching Film at KS4 is desirable
  • Is passionate about the performing arts and its role in developing students’ confidence and skills.
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Is adaptable, reliable, and committed to upholding the school’s ethos and values.
