Teacher of Food Technology

Job Introduction

The Bridge Education Centre are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic person to join our academic team and play a valuable role in the creation of individualised programmes to support, engage, stretch and challenge young people who present with a spectrum of needs with our Intervention, Therapeutic and Academic teams.

 The child lies at the heart of our practice and you would be able to demonstrate: unconditional positive regard, academic excellence, the highest expectations for the children and yourself, develop a restorative teaching approach to behaviour and possess the dynamism, imagination and skill to work collaboratively at all levels toward improved outcomes for our children

 We are looking for an inspirational and committed person to teach Food Technology in KS3/KS4.  We currently offer BTEC Home Cooking Skills Level 1 and 2.  An UQT/Instructor with relevant experience would also be considered for this role. There would also be four periods of an additional KS3 lesson to deliver. 

 Unqualified Teacher – (£21,731 - £33,902) plus additional SEN - £2679                                                                          

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual who cares passionately about teaching their subject, believes in high expectations and ambition for even the most difficult to reach pupils and has the compassion and emotional resilience to support them in achieving their potential.
