We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of History to join our thriving Humanities Department. The successful candidate will contribute to high‑quality teaching and learning and secure excellent progress for students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and creative educator with strong subject knowledge who can inspire students and contribute to a forward‑thinking and ambitious curriculum.

Main Purpose
The postholder will:
- Deliver high‑quality teaching and learning in History across KS3 and KS4
- Contribute to raising standards of student attainment and progress within the Humanities faculty
- Promote a positive attitude to learning and actively support the school’s ethos and values
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and well‑structured lessons that meet the needs of all students
- Assess, monitor and report on students’ progress in line with school policies
- Maintain a well‑ordered, safe and stimulating classroom environment
- Set high expectations that inspire, motivate and challenge students
- Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all students, including those with SEND
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and school events
- Engage fully in professional development opportunities and attend staff meetings as required
- Uphold and promote school policies, including those relating to safeguarding and behaviour
