We are seeking to appoint a talented Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to join The Hamble School. Our vision ‘We Care, We Aim High, We Learn and Achieve Together’ encapsulates the work we do every day. Our intake numbers are increasing – we currently have 1,090 students. In March 2025 we were graded as ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted and we are continuing to ensure that we provide the very best education for all our students.
You will be working in an established team of subject specialists including a Head of Department and a supportive department committed to delivering high-quality teaching across Spanish, French and German. The team is dedicated to engaging with research and the latest innovations in language teaching to improve our students’ communication skills and cultural understanding. Outcomes at GCSE are strong and the department is committed to continually improving provision and inspiring a love of languages. We have strong links with local schools and wider networks and are committed to collaboration beyond The Hamble School.
We are seeking to appoint a talented Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages who is passionate about languages and able to inspire and motivate our learners across Spanish, French or German.
We are looking for someone with:
- Excellent presentation skills and the ability to produce original and outstanding resources
- A helpful and friendly personality who values positive working relationships between
- Strong teamwork skills
- Ambition and high expectations for our students
- Willingness to take part in extra-curricular activities, intervention and trips abroad.
This position would suit an experienced teacher or an ECT.
