Meonstoke CofE school is a small rural village school situated in an area of natural beauty; it is partnered with Newtown Soberton Infant School which forms the Meonvalley Federation of Schools. Our children are well behaved, polite and enthusiastic about their learning.

Essential criteria:
- Believes that the early years of a child's life are vital, where the foundations for future development are established
- Has the ability to communicate a clear vision for outstanding EYFS provision
- Is an outstanding class teacher with excellent knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and how young children learn
- Champions the 'Characteristics of Effective Learning' as critical learning values
- Is familiar with both baseline and end of foundation assessment and will make robust judgements
- Values the role of parents in young children's development
- Has excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Is a great team player who is keen to contribute to whole school improvement
- Has high standards for achievement and behaviour.
- Is a reflective practitioner who values professional discussion and peer coaching to evaluate and improve practice
- Has a commitment to keeping up to date with developments in early years care and education
- Has a thorough understanding of safeguarding issues and confidentiality
Desirable criteria:
- SEN experience
- Paediatric first aid training
- Experience of RWI Phonics
- Interest in leading a wider curriculum subject
