The Federation of Wildground Infant and Junior Schools are looking to appoint an inspirational, highly motivated, creative andcaring teacher to join our welcoming inclusive schools. This is a unique opportunity for a teacher looking to develop leadershipwithin SEND. Please be aware if successful the contract would initially be fixed term for 1 year with the potential to be extended.
Core Purpose:
To improve standards of Learning for all pupils within the provision. To lead and sustain good nursery practice whilstincorporating the structured teaching dictated by elements of the children’s Speech and Language programmes. To work cooperativelywith the Speech and Language Therapist to develop and implement programmes tailored to support progressionfor pupils with SLCN.
Core Elements of role:
To secure strong outcomes for all pupils within the provision. To lead and sustain good nursery practice whilst incorporatingthe structured teaching dictated by elements of the children’s Speech and Language programmes. To work co-operativelywith the Speech and Language Therapists to develop and implement programmes tailored to remediate the Speech andLanguage problems of each individual child.
We are looking for a teacher who:
• Has a degree level teaching qualification.
• Has a good level of professional knowledge – particularly Foundation stage and SEN (SLCN).
• Has experience of Foundation Stage practice including planning, observations and reporting.
• Has a good understanding of safeguarding children and the implications within the school environment.
• Has undertaken and benefited from a range of professional development and continues to seek opportunities.
• Has an understanding of how Speech and Language impairment can impact on the lives of children.
• Understands and adheres to appropriate working relationships with pupils, parents and other agencies.
• Is friendly with an open approachable personality
• Is able to affectively contribute to a successful team
• Is able to manage and develop support staff within the classroom
• Is able to develop and maintain a culture of high expectations for themselves and others
• Is flexible and has a sense of humour
