Job Introduction
We are delighted to be seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our school. You will become an important part of our support staff team.
We are looking to appoint a friendly, conscientious and dedicated person with a good sense of humour to join our hardworking and supportive team. You will be working with individuals, small groups and in class, supporting the learning needs of our students. The role will involve working with pupils of all ages and abilities, so the ability to be flexible and adaptable is essential. A commitment to continuing professional development is also important.
You will need a good standard of general education and be prepared to be flexible and committed to working as part of a team, a team who are committed to making a difference to student learning and development.
Previous experience in a similar role, specifically supporting students with SEN needs is desirable but not essential. We would ask that applicants outline any prior experience and strengths that they bring to the role taking particular note of the desirable and essential criteria set out in the person specification. Any specific SEND or behaviour experience or training will be of particular interest.
We have a strong leadership team and a well-motivated staff. We are very supportive and encouraging of each other. Our children enter school broadly in line with pupils nationally and make excellent progress as they move through school. Our pupils come from a broad and mixed catchment.
