The Governors of Durley CE (Controlled) Primary School are seeking an experienced, skilled, committed and flexible Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our friendly team. This is a unique and versatile role that will incorporate work as a TA and will also include a daily breakfast club and lunch duty. The ideal candidate will need to be able to work across both Key Stages 1 and 2 but will be based in a Key Stage 1 class.
We are a small, supportive school community, and we are looking for someone who can contribute positively to both classroom-learning and the wider life of the school.
About the Role
We are looking for someone who can:
- Effectively support teaching and learning across the school, but with particular experience of KS1
- Lead small groups and deliver planned lessons, with another TA when required
- Work collaboratively alongside teachers to effectively support our pupils
- Work confidently across the primary phase
- Contribute positively to our calm, purposeful learning environment
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with a professional approach.
- Be confident to communicate with parents and staff
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience as a teaching assistant across the primary phase
- Be passionate about children achieving their very best
- Have high expectations and a positive attitude
- Have Maths and English to GCSE level or equivalent
- Be organised, adaptable, and confident in leading learning
- Communicate effectively with staff, pupils, and families
- Be committed to the school’s values and to the wellbeing of children
